Patsy Glunt Patsy Glunt, make-up artist

Not unlike The Living Pixel, Patsy Glunt of Mary Kay Cosmetics has a passion for her work that is evident in her exceptional service and long lasting relationships with her clients.  And so, with this like-mindedness, a partnership was born. Patsy provides make up artistry for both men and women for our photo sessions, taking the photography experience and the end result to the next level – polished and professional.

Patsy began her career in cosmetics and make-up artistry 27 years ago, fresh out of college with a bachelors degree in business and no prospective employment opportunities. Although cosmetics and make-up artistry was intended to be a part-time time job, it resulted in a full-time career.

In her personal life, Patsy found this new career path to be surprisingly rewarding. It not only provided the income she would need to support her young family, it also allowed her the flexibility she desired to be ever present in the lives of her children and their activities.

With a rapidly growing passion for her unanticipated career, Patsy excelled early in her industry. In 1991 she joined the ranks of the Top 2% of the Mary Kay Cosmetics Sales Force and became a Sales Director working with women in 19 states. During her years as a Sales Director, Patsy has been recognized for excellence in recruiting other women to venture into the world of cosmetics leading her consultants in yearly sales of $250,000 to $600,000. In 1991 she also earned the first of her company's most highly sought after award - a career car, and has continued to receive this coveted award 12 times since that date. In 1999 she was awarded the top company "Go-Give" award for Golden Rule leadership. In June 2003 Patsy’s entrepreneurial spirit had paid off as she earned her highest monthly commission of $17,000. But she did not stop there - Patsy wanted to give back to the community that had recognized her strides for women and so she began to focus on mentoring young women. She and her team have been involved in various community events raising monies for the Mary Kay Charitable Foundation, which funds research for cancers that affect women and violence against women. Her team's make up artistry talents have been retained for the "Leatherheads" movie premier in Greenville, as well as for area brides and bridal parties and professional photo shoots. Patsy's most rewarding aspect of her career is meeting new women and watching them realize their dreams and goals through utilizing their God-given talents and abilities.

Today, Patsy and her husband Ben have four wonderful children, two of which are married and two still in college. And, although cosmetics and make-up artistry was not her intended career path 27 years ago, today she could not imagine doing anything else.
